背景介绍

  • CKS1 is a 9-kDa accessory protein that binds conserved “CKS” pockets on CDK1 and CDK2. By docking the SCF Skp2 E3 ligase to CDK–cyclin complexes, it licenses ubiquitination of the CDK inhibitor p27Kip1, thereby driving G1→S progression. Elevated CKS1 is frequent in solid tumours and is an independent marker of metastasis and poor prognosis.
