Interleukin-17F (IL-17F) is a member of the interleukin-17 cytokine family that plays a key role in regulating inflammatory responses and immune reactions. IL-17F is primarily produced by activated T cells, particularly Th17 cells, and acts on various cell types, including epithelial cells, fibroblasts, and immune cells. IL-17F is involved in the pathogenesis of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. It promotes the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, leading to recruitment of immune cells to sites of inflammation and tissue damage.
生物活性
Measured by its ability to induce IL-6 secretion by NIH‑3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. The ED50 for this effect is less than 30ng/ml.
