Blocking of IL13 signaling Functional assays
Lebrikizumab is a high-affinity humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-13 (IL-13). It works by specifically binding to and blocking the IL-13 signaling pathway, thereby inhibiting the IL-13-driven type 2 inflammatory response. The drug was initially developed by Roche and has since been licensed to Eli Lilly and Company. Its core mechanism involves downregulating the levels of key biomarkers associated with type 2 inflammation (such as TARC, DPP-4, IgE, and periostin), thereby producing its therapeutic effects.
