背景介绍

  • CD181, also known as CXCR1, is a 67–70 kDa G-protein-coupled receptor that selectively binds the chemokine interleukin-8 (IL-8) and mediates rapid neutrophil activation, chemotaxis and respiratory burst through Gαi-triggered calcium flux and phospholipase D signaling; expressed on granulocytes, NK cells, monocytes, endothelial cells and oligodendrocytes, it functions as a homodimer or heterodimer with CD182 (CXCR2), and its sustained up-regulation has been implicated in systemic lupus erythematosus-associated hemolytic anemia and other inflammatory disorders.
