CD42b, also known as glycoprotein Ib alpha (GPIbα), is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on platelets and megakaryocytes. It is a key component of the GPIb-IX-V receptor complex, which plays a critical role in platelet adhesion and thrombus formation by binding to von Willebrand factor (vWF) at sites of vascular injury. CD42b interacts with various molecules, including thrombin, coagulation factors XI and XII, and P-selectin, contributing to hemostasis and thrombosis. Mutations or polymorphisms in CD42b are associated with diseases such as Bernard-Soulier syndrome and platelet-type von Willebrand disease.
流式分析
Flow cytometric analysis of human CD42b expression on fresh human peripheral blood cells. Fresh Human peripheral blood cells were stained with FITC Mouse Anti-Human CD41a Antibody and either Alexa Fluor® 647 Mouse IgG1, k Isotype Control (left panel) or SDT Alexa Fluor® 647 Mouse Anti-Human CD42b Antibody (right panel) at 5 μl/test. Flow cytometry and data analysis were performed using Agilent NovoCyte Quanteon and FlowJo™ software.
