Invivo anti-Human/Rat/Fish AChR Recombinant mAb

The acetylcholine receptor (AChR) is a pentameric, ligand-gated ion channel embedded in the postsynaptic membrane of neuromuscular junctions and certain synapses, whose extracellular domain binds two acetylcholine molecules to trigger a concerted swivel of its α-subunits that opens a 2.8 Å central pore, allowing rapid Na⁺ influx and K⁺ efflux to depolarize the cell within microseconds; this signal is terminated when ACh is hydrolyzed by acetylcholinesterase and the pore re-closes, while the receptor’s cytoplasmic loop anchors it to the cytoskeleton via rapsyn, undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation for clustering, and is targeted by autoantibodies in myasthenia gravis or snake α-neurotoxins, making its structure, gating kinetics, and trafficking essential for skeletal muscle contraction, autonomic transmission, and therapeutic interventions ranging from neuromuscular blockers to cholinesterase inhibitors.
