  • AMPKβ1/2 are indispensable scaffolding isoforms of the 5′-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) complex that harbor a conserved carbohydrate-binding module (CBM) which docks glycogen and related oligosaccharides to allosterically sensitize the holoenzyme to cellular energy stress, while simultaneously anchoring the α-catalytic and γ-regulatory subunits through their C-terminal sequences to ensure correct heterotrimeric assembly, stable lysosomal or mitochondrial localization, and optimal phosphorylation-mediated activation by upstream kinases such as LKB1 and CaMKK2, thereby governing systemic metabolic fluxes including fatty-acid oxidation, glucose uptake, and autophagy in liver, skeletal muscle, and adipose tissue.

Goat polyclonal Antibody to Rabbit IgG - H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) was used as secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution. The cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Triton X-100. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Counterstain with tubulin (Red).

    • ICC shows positive staining in NIH/3T3 cells. Anti- AMPKβ1/2 antibody was used at 1/100 dilution (Green) and incubated overnight at 4°C. Goat polyclonal Antibody to Rabbit IgG - H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) was used as secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution. The cells were fixed with 100% ice-cold methanol and permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Triton X-100. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Counterstain with tubulin (Red).
