Protein kinase C delta (PKCδ) is a serine/threonine kinase of the novel PKC subfamily that, once activated by diacylglycerol or oxidative stress, translocates to distinct subcellular compartments where it phosphorylates substrates such as caspase-3, p53, and STAT1 to regulate apoptosis, DNA-damage responses, immune signaling, and tumor suppression, and its catalytic activity is fine-tuned by tyrosine phosphorylation (e.g., Y311) and by the formation of complexes with receptors, adaptors, and lipids, making PKCδ a central but context-dependent switch between survival and cell death.

ICC shows positive staining in 293T cells. Anti- PKC delta antibody was used at 1/100 dilution (Green) and incubated overnight at 4°C. Goat polyclonal Antibody to Rabbit IgG - H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) was used as secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution. The cells were fixed with 100% ice-cold methanol and permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Triton X-100. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Counterstain with tubulin (Red).
