背景介绍
  • GORASP2 (also called GRASP55) is a peripheral membrane protein encoded by the GORASP2 gene, located on the medial-trans face of the Golgi apparatus, where it acts as a "molecular glue" by forming trans-oligomers through its conserved N-terminal GRASP domain to stack adjacent cisternae into the characteristic Golgi ribbon. In normal growth conditions it is O-GlcNAcylated, but upon glucose or energy starvation it is rapidly de-O-GlcNAcylated and a subpopulation relocates to the autophagosomelysosome interface, where it tethers LC3-II on autophagosomes to LAMP2 on lysosomes, thereby facilitating autophagosomelysosome fusion and promoting autophagosome maturation as an unconventional energy sensor.
