CD112, also known as PRR2 or Nectin-2, is a 58 kDa protein expressed in myeloid cells. It is a component of adherens junctions and plays a role in cell adhesion. CD112 is a member of the nectin family, which are calcium-independent immunoglobulin superfamily proteins that mediate cell-cell adhesion through homophilic and heterophilic interactions. Nectins are involved in the formation and maintenance of adherens junctions and tight junctions, and they regulate various cellular behaviors such as cell adhesion, growth, differentiation, migration, and apoptosis.

IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded human testis. Anti-CD112/Nectin-2 antibody was used at 1/250 dilution, followed by a HRP Polymer for Mouse & Rabbit IgG (ready to use). Counterstained with hematoxylin. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
