CD61, also known as integrin beta-3 (ITGB3) or glycoprotein IIIa (gpIIIa), is a transmembrane protein encoded by the ITGB3 gene in humans. It is predominantly expressed on the surface of platelets and megakaryocytes. CD61 forms a crucial complex with CD41 (alphaIIb) to create the heterodimeric receptor gpIIb/IIIa, which is essential for platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. This receptor binds to fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor, and other extracellular matrix proteins, facilitating platelet adhesion and aggregation. In addition to its role in hemostasis, CD61 is also involved in various cellular processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation. It has been implicated in tumor progression, where it can influence tumor metabolism, immune microenvironment, and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition.
流式分析
Flow cytometric analysis of Human CD61 expression on human PBMC (human peripheral blood mononuclear cells). Human PBMC were stained with APC Mouse Anti-Human CD62P Antibody and either Biotin Isotype Control (Left panel) or SDT Biotin Mouse Anti-Human CD61 Antibody (Right panel) at 1 μl/test followed by Sav-iFluor 488. Flow cytometry and data analysis were performed using BD FACSymphony™ A1 and FlowJo™ software.
