  • Phospho-α-Synuclein (Ser129) is the pathognomonic form of α-synuclein in which the serine at position 129 is stoichiometrically phosphorylated, a post-translational switch that converts the natively unfolded presynaptic protein into a sticky, aggregation-prone seed capable of nucleating Lewy bodies and Lewy neurites, propagating trans-synaptically between neurons, activating microglia and complement, and serving as the most specific biochemical correlate of dopaminergic neurodegeneration in Parkinson’s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies.

  • 免疫组化

    • IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded mouse cerebral cortex. Anti- Phospho-α-Synuclein (Ser129) antibody was used at 1/250 dilution, followed by a HRP Polymer for Mouse & Rabbit IgG (ready to use). Counterstained with hematoxylin. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
