CD27 is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily. It is primarily expressed on activated T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, with lower expression levels found on B cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells. CD27 plays a significant role in regulating immune responses. Specifically, CD27 interacts with its ligand, CD70 (also known as TNFSF7 or tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 7), participating in intercellular signaling. This interaction is crucial for the proliferation, survival, and differentiation of T cells and NK cells. Furthermore, the CD27-CD70 interaction is also involved in the activation, proliferation, and antibody production of B cells.

- Flow cytometric analysis of Human CD27 expression on human PBMC (human peripheral blood mononuclear cell). Human PBMC were stained with Alexa Fluor® 647 Mouse Anti-Human CD3 antibody and either FITC Mouse IgG1, κ Isotype Control (Left panel) or SDT FITC Mouse Anti-Human CD27 Antibody (Right panel) at 1 μg/test. Flow cytometry and data analysis were performed using BD FACSymphony™ A1 and FlowJo™ software.
