背景介绍
  • IFIT1 (Interferon-induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 1) is a member of the ISG (Interferon-stimulated genes) family, which is induced upon interferon treatment or viral infection. Primarily located in the cytoplasm, IFIT1 contains multiple tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) motifs that facilitate protein-protein interactions. It inhibits viral infection by recognizing and binding to viral RNAs that lack the 2'-O-methylated cap structure or possess a 5'-triphosphate group, thereby suppressing viral translation or sequestering them. Additionally, IFIT1 interacts with the eIF3e subunit of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3, inhibiting translation, and has been shown to suppress the replication of various RNA viruses.
