背景介绍

Homeobox protein Nkx-6.1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NKX6-1 gene [PMID: 9119408]. Homeobox protein NKX6.1 is a transcription factor (TF) that plays a critical role in pancreatic β cell function and proliferation. In human pancreatic islet, NKX6.1 expression is exclusive to β cells and is undetectable in other islet cells [PMID: 33121533].

Counterstained with hematoxylin. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
