CD90.2 protein, also known as Thy-1.2, is a 25-37 kDa glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein with a V-type immunoglobulin domain. It is one of the two murine isoforms of the Thy-1 protein, distinguished mainly by the 89th amino acid, where Thy-1.1 carries an arginine and Thy-1.2 carries a glutamine. CD90.2 is expressed in various cell types, including T cells and fibroblasts of certain mouse strains, and plays a role in cell-to-cell and cell-matrix interactions. It is involved in axonal growth and neuronal regeneration, T cell activation and apoptosis, adhesion and migration of leukocytes and melanoma cells, as well as proliferation and migration of fibroblasts in wound healing, inflammation, and fibrosis.

Flow cytometric analysis of C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes labelling Mouse CD90.2 antibody at 1/200 (1 μg) dilution (Right) compared with a Rat monoclonal IgG isotype control (Left). Goat Anti - Rat IgG Alexa Fluor® 488 was used as the secondary antibody. Then cells were stained with CD3 - Brilliant Violet 421™ separately. Gated on total viable cells.
